Justice for Ken Reiss

“He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off of his back, or the last dollar in his wallet.”
Ken Reiss was maybe the most beautiful of souls. Whether you knew him well, or simply patronized his bar, he had a way of touching lives. His calm demeanor somehow made the world seem peaceful, and his physical presence made you feel safe. He was a great listener, and his thirst for knowledge and connection always made for great conversation. Despite all of that, his boisterous laugh might actually be his most memorable feature.
On Tuesday, August 11th, 2020, his life was taken away. He called 911 regarding a home invasion- he called for help- and when the Albuquerque Police Department arrived, he was the one they attacked. They shot him multiple times, and he died in the hospital.
Ken is survived by the pride of his life- his son, Devon Reiss. I’ve put this gofundme together on behalf of Devon, who will receive all funds (through his mother Aspen-Rose Doyle, who is listed as the beneficiary) to support him in any way he needs during this time. Ken’s death will not be in vain, and in his honor we will fight against police brutality.
Anything helps, donate what you can, if you can. Please share this fund amongst your communities.
Rest in Power, Ken. You will never be forgotten.
