Justice for Maleesa Mooney

It is with extremely heavy hearts we write this. If you haven't already seen on several social media and news outlets, our dear Maleesa has been taking away from us. Even though she was taken in a vicious, senseless and heinous way we would like to remember Maleesa in all of the glorious ways God divinely made her to be. Maleesa was an extremely sweet and generous soul. She saw the good in everyone and lit up every room she entered. Maleesa was just as smart as she was beautiful and had one of the most compassionate and giving hearts you'd ever meet.

This is how the family would like to remember her.

I have started this Gofundme on behalf of Maleesa's Mother,  Margaret McDonald. Margaret and I have been friends for more than 25 years. I have known Maleesa and Jourdin since they were toddlers.  Maleesa affectionately called me her God Mommy. 

We started this Gofundme to help with legal fees as we are fighting for justice and will continue to fight until we receive it!! We ask that you continue to fight along side of us as well by sharing her story, reporting any information you may know, and keeping #JUSTICEFORMALEESA going!

Portions of the proceeds will also go towards helping start a fund and foundation in Maleesa's name and memory. All proceeds will be transferred directly to Margaret and the family and will be utilized for the above mentioned. 

We are not only fighting for justice for Maleesa but for justice and awareness for all women of color who are so often over looked, underprotected, undervalued and just flat out forgotten!!
