Justice for Mushroom Girl
Donation protected
It all started on the spooky night of Halloween... The Fernie air was crisp from the early morning snow, but that didn't stop Mushroom Girl from spreading her mycelium down towards, "The Pub" at Park Place Lodge.
With her gills opened wide and her spots glimmering in the moonlight, she went and met all the wild creatures of the event.
She met a washed-up tooth fairy, poor Nemo trapped in a bag, and some hotdogs. Mushroom Girl received many compliments and was such a hit that she made it to the final round of the contest.
Her weeks and hours of collecting foliage and moss, sewing and glueing leaves to shoes were paying off.
The DJ asked for the cheers and everyone, including Kenny from South Park was showing support, but then the unthinkable happened... It became a tiebreaker.
Unfortunately, the DJ made the choice and picked their friend to win the RCR pass. We deem this foul play.
Mushroom Girl's snowboarding dreams were ripe away, like a child having their candy stolen while trick-or-treating.
We are asking for donations to make her dreams a reality to snowboard all season and to show appreciation for the effort taken to create her unique costume.
She is new to the area and is excited to meet all the wonderful people of the Fernie area.
Thank you endlessly for your support!
