Justice for the murder of My Aunt Carmen Vargas

My aunt Carmen Vargas was murdered and we were lead to believe that serial killer Joel Rifkin had killed her but he said she was not one of his victims but he confessed to all his other victims. Then a few weeks ago Rex Heuermann was arrested for the 2010 Gilgo 4. The same exact way the Gilgo 4 was found so was my aunt, she was bound at her feet and arms with a rope around her neck and a towel on her face. The coroner’s office said Carmen’s hyoid bone was missing and never recovered. All these years went by and we never got any answers. So we never changed the house telephone number just in case the police would call with any info. But they never did This trauma has put a toll on my family all these years. My mother Aida Vargas died in 2009 she was depressed from her young sister’s Carmen’s murder. My mother’s older sister Mercedes. 

is also traumatized because every time the police would find a body she would go to identify them to see if it was Carmen. Then finally we were finally notified about her death a few years later but when we asked for her remains the detectives said she was already buried in a cemetery for the unknown. This is killing me. I need justice for my aunt and I’m requesting her unsolved cold case gets reopened. We trying to raise funds to try to get a private investigator and legal representation to push Nassau county to re-examine my aunts case. I know is to expensive to move my aunts body from where she is currently at in a cemetery of the unknown but just maybe I can raise enough to at at least get her a headstone and have a proper service every family member deserves.
