Justice for my mum & closure for our family

Donation protected
Hi my name is Tracy, as many are aware my brother & I suddenly lost our mum on 29th December 2022.
I had spoken to my mum the evening before & she was in good spirits & looking forward to the new year.
I was opening presents with my grandchildren when I got the most distressing call from my brother, to tell me our mum had passed, shock was an understatement & Christmas has never been the same, I haven’t been able to enjoy Xmas since.
I can’t go into the details as it’s messy & I have to be careful of the legalities but all i I can say is it states “presumed heart attack” on our mums death certificate but it has been said my mum had fatally overdosed. Our stepfather refused an autopsy & even a burial for the family, instead he decided to cremate her against our wishes. There was no 999 call instead non emergency 101 were called so there was no police presence & the GP did not attend to declare her death. I have the Scottish ambulance records. Our stepfather said he had done CPR on mum for 20
mins, but this is untrue, when my brother who lives 10-15 mins away arrived mum was propped up on pillows her chin was resting on her chest?!
The funeral went ahead quickly & i was used as a scapegoat because I live in London & it was suggested I had to get back home to my own family.
Before leaving Scotland our stepfather asked us to clear our mums room, bizarre as he has eradicated her totally from the home clearing the whole room & knocking out the fishpond in front of mums bedroom window.
We found a safe box at the back of her wardrobe which enclosed personal documents, eg Will, insurance documents,
title deeds & 2 bundles of cash,
my Brother & I decided to respectfully hand it all over to our stepfather which he has now denied.
Since this time our stepfather has refused to put the matter through administration/probate & all kinds of accusations have been made against us, it’s cruel & we cannot grieve the loss of our mother.
i have since travelled back & forth to Scotland on 6 occasions. Our stepfather has banned us from coming to the house or even having a conversation with him & his solicitor, who was a previous friend & neighbour.
i have had to travel back & forth to Scotland to get legal advice & in order to get this matter into Court & we have been told it can cost around £10,000.
We are beyond despair with it all.
Gary & I were not raised by our mother, she was very young when she had us both, I connected with my mum when I had my own children over 37 years ago, we had the best relationship & she was
my best friend, we spoke nearly every day & I could tell her anything & everything. Mum felt bad about not raising both Gary & I & she often would tell us both that she had made provision for us both thoughout the years , our children & grandchildren, her grandchildren & great grandchildren would be taken care of financially. Our stepfather has broken us, he has thrown us all under the bus so to speak, we are at our wits end & are asking those who may or may not have known our mum to please help us. I will give regular updates on this as it progresses please help us get justice for our mum & closure for myself,
my brother, the children & our grandchildren please
