Justice for my son Hunter

THIS IS THE REASON I AM SEEKING HELP FROM THE COMMUNITIES. WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK. WARNING THE VIDEO IS HARD TO WATCH.
Hi, my name is Anthony Fulton. I am a very alienated parent in regards to my son, Hunter. I'm here because I really need help in fighting for my son because I FEAR FOR MY SON'S LIFE, AND I NEED TO BE HIS VOICE WHEN HIS VOICE NEEDS TO BE HEARD THE MOST.

I would not ask for such donations, but in November 2023, I paid a lot of my debts off and fixed my work truck. So this year, 2024, I could save a lot more money and buy a house and eventually fight for my son when all my ducks are in order. It's pretty unfortunate how much fathers have to go through and do just to potentially prove they are a better fit for the child than their mothers in the state of Texas.

In December, I received a video of my son being abused by his mother's new husband. After receiving the video, I called CPS and the Bell County Sheriff's Office to get it investigated. During that time, I called around to a lot of family attorneys and basically found out it could be $6,500 to $20,000. I also went to my son's school to get his attendance records, report cards, and any nurse notes to give them to the Bell County investigators. As protocol with many Texas ISDs, the principal notified my son's mother about what I was doing, and she unenrolled my son from the school the next day. Also, I applied to get a protective order for my son so he didn't have to be around that man while this investigation was underway.

Adam Soorhaultz, the Bell County Attorney, told me to call back three weeks later. Well, I patiently waited the three weeks, and when I called, they told me there was a conflict of interest and couldn't do it. So I did some research online and found that my son's mother filed a protective order against me, even though I have had no contact with her in over five years. Truly mind-blown that my son's safety gets disregarded even with video proof for whatever lies his mother told the county attorney. But this is her tactic.

When my son Hunter was an infant, I went to exercise my parental visitation rights. My son wasn't there, and I had brought a Bastrop County sheriff with me so that my rights couldn't be infringed and everything goes smooth. My son wasn't there, and so it got documented, and I left. Two weeks later, I got served to appear in Bastrop County for a protective order. I showed up, read the allegations, and requested an attorney. The Bastrop County DA tricked me to get in front of the judge, and I got to the stand and basically said my name and maybe one sentence, and the Bastrop County judge granted a two-year protective order for the mother and my son. He was an infant, and I was 22 and very stupid when it came to court dealings. It was the most betrayed and heartbroken I have ever felt in my life at the time.

After one year and eleven months, I texted my son's mother, "Hey, how is my son?" and ended up doing 90 days in Bastrop County jail for protective order violation. I got the last months mixed up, and it is what it is. The two years turned into four years. During those four years, his mother had another baby, and they had a falling out. His mother ended up moving in with my parents while she still had a protective order on me. She went to the courthouse on a date to renew the protective order for a third time and would have made it six years and got it dropped. After that, I gave up my job and moved in to be in my son's life. I started my own business doing mobile preventative maintenance for commercial vehicles, and that turned into roadside repair in South Texas. Basically, business was slow at first, and she couldn't hang, so she left in the middle of the night with the kids, and two weeks later, married the guy who assaulted my son. She blocked my number and everything, so I let it be and built my business up and set goals to one day fight and make it a good fight for my son's custody because I knew one day my son would start asking about me, and I know her; when the pressure starts building up, she runs.

Regardless, it's been five years. I am in a better place but not where I dreamed of being when I set the goal of fighting for my son and being a one-man show in my business and not able to find like-minded people in this day and age. It definitely took longer than I anticipated. But after receiving the video and watching it over and over and learning my son doesn't do well in school and is pretty much a truancy violation, I know now more than ever it is time. I am ashamed I blew a lot of my savings fixing my debts and fixing my truck. Then, shortly after learning this about my son, when it rains, it pours. So, this is why I am asking for help from the communities. I am going to post the video. Warning: it is disturbing and difficult to watch.

Thank you very much for reading. God bless.
