Justice for Nala & Nova – Help Us Find Who Did This!

Nala and Nova disappeared from their home on Sunday, 12th January 2025. Five days later, they were found drowned in the canal.

These two beautiful, loving crossbreed dogs were let into their secure back garden before bed at around 10:30 pm. The gate was bolted shut. Yet, within minutes, their owner found the gate wide open - and Nala and Nova were gone.

Despite desperate searches and widespread appeals, not a single sighting of them was reported. They had simply vanished.

Then, on Friday, 17th January, a member of the public made a horrific discovery - a builder’s bag tied to a boat mooring in the canal. Inside were Nala and Nova. The RSPCA believes they were deliberately drowned. The bag had been there since at least Monday, 13th January.

Who did this? Who stole these innocent dogs from their home and took their lives?

Wings and Paws Rescue has a personal connection to Nala and Nova. We knew them. We knew their family. These dogs were adored and well cared for. They should have been safe in their own garden. Instead, they were stolen and brutally murdered.

We need your help to get justice for Nala and Nova.

We are raising funds to offer a financial incentive for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible. Every donation brings us one step closer to finding the truth.

If no one is caught*, the funds will be used to support local families searching for lost or stolen dogs, helping raise awareness and assisting in searches - in honour of Nala and Nova’s memory.
