Justice for Nick Zapata

My name is Amanda Zapata & I'm starting this Go Fund Me on behalf of my older brother Robert Zapata. As many of you know my nephew Nicholas (Nick) Zapata was tragically taken from us on September 23rd by a senselessly act of murder. My nephew was an extremely loved young man with a heart of gold. His smile was extremely contagious & his presence would light up every room he walked in. My nephew loved being the oldest brother to 4 younger brothers & 1 younger sister. I can only imagine how happy he is to finally meet his baby brother Shane up in heaven.

The purpose of this Go Found me is to help my family raise funds for my brother Robert & our family to meet the many costs (travel & housing) that will be required for us to ensure that Nicholas gets justice.

My brother Robert is a 100% disabled veteran who served in the United States Military for 10 in a half years as 11 bravo infantry with a total of 40 months combat deployment time to both Iraq & Afghanistan.

My family will need to travel back & forth from North Carolina to Illinois to ensure that Nicks killer pays for what he has done to my nephew. The jury needs to see Nicks family is present & they need to know that Nicholas was a loving son, brother, nephew & grandson.
