Justice for Ranger and Oliver

On the evening of Feb 1st Jen and Lee Porterfield's beloved German Shepherd "Ranger" and their best friend Amber Zercher's German Shepherd "Oliver" were deliberately shot with a firearm while minding their own business walking on their property. Ranger was shot once in the chest and passed shortly after in Lee's arms. Oliver suffered multiple gun shot wounds to both hind legs. Oliver was rushed to PETS who expertly and swiftly treated him, where he was treated for 2 nights and 3 days. Oliver has a long road ahead of him, and there continues to be the possibility of him loosing a hind limb. Only time will tell how much nerve damage is present. Jen and Lee's soon to be 3 year old son was present thru all of this and continues to struggle with what he witnessed. The vet bills for Oliver are astronomical. It is still up in the air whether charges will be filed, the investigation is ongoing by PA State Police (who have been exceptional throughout this tragedy!)

We continue to pray for justice and that the DA will charge once presented with the case. Overall, this will be a long battle. We would like to offer a substantial reward for any reliable tips that would be deemed helpful in the prosecution. Tips can be called in to the PA State Police at [phone redacted]. The funds from this go fund me would be used foremost to help Amber pay Oliver's mounding medical bills and for a large reward for any tips on the case.
