Justice for Reagan
Donation protected
In 2014, Reagan and his mom moved from Las Vegas to Alabama to escape domestic violence with permission from the court. Mom and Reagan instantly fell in love with the best place to live in the US. They found an amazing church and friends. In 2016, Reagan was ordered back to Las Vegas. Sadly, Reagan’s father who lives in Las Vegas continued his pattern of domestic violence and turned his hand against then 4 year old Reagan. Upon a custody change, mom discovered Reagan had been left for days at a time with strangers, who also beat Reagan for wetting his pants or simply crying. Alabama DHR and Honorable Judge Taylor in Tallapoosa county immediately put an order of protection in place to keep Reagan safe. Due to the extensive abuse Reagan suffered in Nevada-the Child Advocacy Center quickly put Reagan under its care and has been providing weekly trauma counseling. Reagan has made tremendous progress under their care. Reagan started school and built safety and stability with loving teachers and a home town community only Alabama can provide. On December 4, 2018-the judge in Nevada, against the pleas of Honorable Judge Taylor to allow him to continue to protect Reagan- ordered the child to return to the documented abusive father. Reagan has been pulled from his mother, his school and his church family and the stability that has allowed him to heal from the chaos and abuse he endured in Las Vegas. The only way around these devastating turn of events -is to retain a court approved psychologist who will review all the evidence and advise this judge that the child needs to be returned to safety and his loving family in Alabama. These proceeds will go directly to the retaining of this doctor who is willing to speak the truth and stand up for Reagan.
