Justice for Rebecca Solt
The money that is received from donations will be distributed as follows:
help Sierra get on her feet as an adult, Sidney to save for college, Cataleya to assist with funds for a special needs school as she has autism, and Grandmother Mary solt with the cost of taking care of two children on a single fixed income, and to get a bigger apartment to accommodate another child.
We have the funeral cost cover now. Thank you from my whole family for all the donations.
Charles and Jessica Solt, brother and sister-in-law of Rebecca Solt, are responsible for the final expenses and the proper disbursement of the money.
Below is the story of what happened to Rebecca Solt, and why it is so important to identify and stop domestic violence, and hope something can change with the protection order to better protect people.
This is a fundraiser for Rebecca Solt, whom was 40 years old and her life was tragically taken on 8/27/2020 between 3:15 - 3:30 pm. Unfortunately, leaving three kids with no parents. Her oldest, Sierra is now out on her own, Sidney has been in the care of his grandmother, Mary Solt, whom will now be getting custody of Cataleya, Beckie's youngest child. Cataleya, 5 years old, was the daughter of Anthony Boone, the other two children are 19 year old, Sierra Watkins, and 12 year old Sidney Watkins, both with the father and Beckie's ex-husband, Douglas Watkins. Sadly, Douglas had passed away 2 years ago.
Beckie had been in an abusive relationship for 9 years with Anthony Boone. There had been countless problems within the household of domestic violence over those years. She had reached out for help on some occasions, which her mother had went to rescue her and get her to safety and out of town. However, despite leaving, she somehow had found herself back in the violent household. I believe this was due to violent threats to her safety, as well as the safety of her family. Anthony had threatened her in the past, that if she would leave and take his daughter (Cataleya), he would kill her and her family.
Most recently, she had a job at Burger King in Clearfield PA, she decided it was time to leave Anthony again, for good this time. She awaited the right moment to leave while he was at work to secure her safety. Her manager at Burger King knew of her situation, and offered to help in a very generous way, by offering Beckie to stay with her and her husband for as long as it would take her to get back on her feet. Her manager had stated she didn't want to lose her as an employee, being she was a great employee. Her manager helped gather some personal belongings, at least what was left of the destroyed property from the violent outbreaks of Anthony.
Beckie had been staying with her manager for a couple months and for the first time sticking to it and staying away, blocking contact, and establishing a PFA against Anthony Boone- as he was stalking her at her job. At one point, she still had the thought for Father's Day to send him an anonymous (she did not want him to know where she was living for her safety) Father's Day card from Cataleya. Beckie sent the Father's Day card, and she unblocked his number just to see if he had received it from his 5 year old daughter. He had responded back "yes, and when I find you, I will kill you." She blocked his number again, and hadn't had any direct contact with him since.
A couple months later, she was in communication with the Clearfield County courts, as she was pressing the matter of sole custody and filed for child support. The day that she was killed was the same day he was to appear in court. Anthony did not appear at the hearing. Instead he was going after Beckie.
He went to her current address, parked in the alley behind the house, and waited for her to go outside to smoke a cigarette. As she went outside, she sat on a swing in the yard, he entered the property with a rifle, and at close range shot her three times. He then got in the car and took off. The manager's mother in law was on the property babysitting their child, and she witnessed this horrific and tragic act, hearing Beckie scream, followed by the gunshots.
Anthony Boone was quickly identified as the suspect, and was on the run from the police. Thanks to the help from the Pennsylvania State police, local law enforcement, surrounding agencies, and most important the help from the community, he was spotted by a member of the community, who notified police immediately, then he was apprehended by police, and he was no longer free.
Not only did the children lose their mother, her parents lost a daughter, and her brother lost a sister. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
RIP Rebecca Solt
