Justice For Robin Mcneely & Funeral Costs

Hello, my name is Dominique Mcneely. I'm 34 years old and I grew up in Flint, Michigan. I have 5 beautiful children and a 6th that is not mine but I treat as my own and love with all my heart.

My mother, Robbin Mcneely, was a beloved member of her community in Flint Michigan. She was active in her church and her local narcotics anonymous chapter. She had 15 years of sobriety and provided a lot of love, hope, and light to others who were in recovery. 16 months ago in January of 2020, police took away that light. Just like George Floyd and so many others, my mother was a black person who lost her life to police brutality.

On January 30th 2020, my mother was murdered by law enforcement. The state police department and the Burton police department kicked down my 56 year old mother’s door and threw her roughly to the ground multiple times, waiting until she was unconscious, at which point they released her to an ambulance that arrived while she was still conscious. It’s been 16 months since they took my mother away from us. It hurts so badly, and it seems like no one cares. Not my state, not my city. There have been no news reports, no arrests, no justice. Lord knows that I need, want, and crave this justice for my loving, caring, strong, black, beautiful mother, Robbin Mcneely.

As you can imagine, life did not stop for me and my family. I took on the responsibility of burying my mother, despite being on my own and with very little support. I went into debt of 7000 dollars with the funeral costs and trying to make ends meet for my family. I’m currently trying to stay afloat by selling plates of food out of my home, as I love to cook and have plans to start a restaurant in the future. All in all, I’m asking for you to find it in your hearts to help me pay off my debt and help spread awareness for my mom so that she can get the justice she deserves.
