Justice for Tana
Donation protected
Tana Tyler, deceased mother of Aaliyah and Chase “Legend” Tyler, died unnecessarily at IU Methodist Hospital. Tana went to the hospital to deliver Chase. Tana never went home and Chase was born with severe disabilities. He will never walk, take care of himself, or even feed himself. Chase and Aaliyah both lost their loving mother because of greed.
Tana was considered to have a high risk pregnancy. She was supposed to see a doctor at every visit and for her delivery. Instead, IU Health had her see midwives at some of her prenatal visits and had midwives in charge of her delivery. IU Health intentionally had high risk pregnant women see midwives instead of doctors and billed Medicaid at doctor rates. IU had to pay the government back millions of dollars for the fraudulent billing. The injured mothers and babies, including Chase and Tana, did not get any of those funds although they were the true victims.
The Tyler children’s worlds were torn apart the day their mother unnecessarily passed away and Chase was born with disabilities that did not need to happen. IU Health chose to not help this family after their unsafe medical care was exposed by an IU Health doctor. The doctor who turned IU Health in for their misconduct, was told by administration that no one cares about these downtown babies. We care, she cares, show this family that you all care. Let’s all get together for Justice for Tana and help this mother’s children as she looks down on them.
