Justice for Walter Matthew Hutchins Sr.

My name is Candice, my son’s father and significant other, Walter Matthew Hutchins Sr. was fatally shot by unidentified bounty hunters. As a result of their brutality, our 9 month old son, Walter Matthew Hutchins Jr., will be raised without his father.

On February 23, 2022, Walter was entering his vehicle to return home after spending the evening with family and friends. Seconds after entering his car Walter was ambushed by bounty hunters with their guns drawn. The bounty hunters that surrounded him were in plain clothing and did not identify themselves. Within seconds of getting into his car, the bounty hunters shot Walter. Walter suffered extensive brain damage from the shooting and was brain dead upon arriving to the hospital. He was pronounced medically deceased the following day.

As a result of the bounty hunters excessive use of force, Walter’s life was cut short, and the lives of my son and I have been turned upside down.

His sudden removal from our lives has left a hole that only his presence could fill. His death also comes as a tremendous unexpected financial burden.
