Justice for Wanda Stewart: Funeral and Legal Aid

Hello everyone, my name is Michelle Gregory and I am the daughter to Wanda Stewart who passed away November 5, 2024. My mother was in a nursing home that neglected her care and her well-being. She had a giant bed sore on her bottom the size of my hand I wasn’t notified or made aware of her bed sore until this Sunday, November 3, 2024. the moment I saw the bed saw I complained immediately. The next day November 4, 2024 I filed a complaint with the social worker of the rehab facility and we filed a grievance of neglect that same day, my mother laid in her urine all night and all morning until I arrived which is what made me file the grievance in the first place. Later in the day before I left the nursing home I looked at my mom and I asked her was her bottom hurting, and she looked me straight in my eyes and nodded her head. Yes because she was nonverbal. Then November 5, 2024 I get a call from the rehab facility stating that she has coded and for me to go to the hospital only to be gaslighted at the fact that they were never taking her to the hospital they performed life-saving measures on her in the rehab facility in her bed as me and my family patiently await her arrival at the hospital . I took it upon myself to leave the hospital and drive to the nursing home and that’s when I walked in to EMTs doing life-saving procedures on my mom for them to pronounce her dead. This comes as shock to me and my family. This was definitely unexpected and I’m asking for help anything you can give will help my mom didn’t have life insurance so I need help covering funeral cost, body transportation. I need help with cremation and I also need help with legal fees and I also need help with a private investigator for an autopsy l because I do believe my mom passed away due to neglect.
