For the children of a murdered Mother,Yuliya Khort
Donation protected
Yuliya Khort (nee Rybalko) was taken from us on August 17th, 2020. It was a Monday and after a long day at work she stopped at the grocery store. She never had the chance to put away those groceries. Because this day ended differently than any other day. It ended differently and definitively.
On that August 17th she saved the lives of her daughters, Veronica and Victoria, by pushing them out of the house and locking the door behind them. She negotiated for their lives with her husband, the father of her children, her abuser, and finally her murderer, who planned to kill them all. As soon as the girls were safely outside, three shots were fired, and everything was irrevocably changed. Yuliya sacrificed herself to save her daughters.
They are left without their mother and without their father.
Yuliya Khort was a victim of domestic violence. Like so many other women that live this nightmare, she kept her silence, leaving all of us who loved her, powerless to save her. Her young daughters, Veronica and Victoria, were left orphaned. Her oldest son, Max, was left without his beloved mother.
She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt. She was a pharmacist at Dahl Medical Supply for more than 20 years. She was genuine, and she was kind. She always gave more than she had.
This Go Fund Me is being organized by her nephew, Vlad, and her cousin, Irina. The funds we raise will, in part, help pay for funeral costs and for legal expenses, and in part help the girls settle in a new home and start new lives.
We are actively sharing this post on Facebook in order to reach our goal. Please share as well.
We are also still looking for an attorney to help settle the estate for her children pro bono.
