Justice Justice 1964
Tax deductible
On June 18, 1964, sixteen rabbis and UAHC Social Action Director Al Vorspan were caught up in the largest mass arrest of Rabbis in US History. No plaque, no memorial, no marker commemorates this event and the valor of those men who answered the call of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society has commissioned a bronze marker to indicate the special and sacred nature of the location where this arrest took place.
We seek funds to pay for this plaque, to mount it and to dedicate it on the 55th anniversary of the arrest, 12 noon, Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
Your generous tax deductible donation will make this plaque a reality and continue the efforts to bring Justice to the fore and the dignity of all people to the minds of citizens everywhere!
