#Justice4Evie: Exposing Cruel & Inhumane Training

Donation protected
It’s an unreal story of a professional dog training experience that went off the charts wrong. It is a customer experience that is unheard of -- a pure-bred German Wirehair Pointer completing their 2nd round of training while being boarded and 14 days later, the dog is dead? What?

Hi. My name is Ann. When me and my friend, Brooks, learned that our mutual friend, Kristina's dog, Evie, died while away under a professional dog trainer and heard the horror behind it, we decided we could not stand by and do nothing -- Evie's death hit a painful chord in each of our hearts as dog owners ourselves and said, "this is not okay; we need to do something".

In this spirit, we decided to assemble this site, throw out a bone, and see what difference we can make not only in the life of Kristina, but the life and legacy of her pup -- and most specifically all dogs who have, and/or are receiving cruel and inhumane professional dog training. Kristina's devastating experience has not only hit a deep chord in us, but throughout the outdoor, hunting, conservation, and dog training community of like-minded passionate dog and non-dog owners – and to many of whom we've never met. People are angry. People have cried, and people are still shedding tears over this sick and devastating training experience that left Evie for dead.

One person’s bad experience with a professional dog training facility can cause a hesitant ripple effect toward other trainers; we know this one terrible incident does not represent the entire industry. In fact, it is believed the industry will only strengthen with honest and open communication. We stand with many solid trainers in the industry, but in this case -- this individual needs to be seriously addressed to ensure this never happens again to any dog in their hands. One way this is being addressed is by the hiring of a professional attorney who is seeking justice -- and that is where Go Fund Me comes into play: we are seeking to raise funds to ensure #Justice4Evie now -- and in the future.

#Justice4Evie's 1st goal is to raise funds to pay for attorney fees and associated costs to bring justice; the expenses are expected to be steep to do this right. This case is currently under investigation; as this story unfolds, please respect due process for #Justice4Evie. Meanwhile, time, energy, and resources are needed to bring justice in addition to taking occasional unpaid time off work to address legal issues + caring a baby on the way; yes, while navigating this fight, Kristina is 30 weeks pregnant, at the age of 40, with her 3rd child due in September 2023. Being familiar with deep and traumatic experiences myself, there is a high concern about Kristina’s and the baby's wellbeing while under this significant stress.

Once the 1st goal is met, #Justice4Evie's 2nd goal is to apply the remaining funds raised towards any efforts to ensure no dog under a professional trainer will be hurt again by exposing cruel and inhumane training. Because of this incident, Kristina has declared she will not rest until there is #Justice4Evie. While Kristina (and her family) work to process and heal, Kristina will work to support the mission of Evie to ensure this never happens again.

How can you help today? One way to create the biggest impact is to spread this real-life story – period. A second way is if able to support this cause, please feel free to donate. The great news is that either way, Kristina's goal is met by bringing #Justice4Evie and raising awareness to ensure no dog is treated cruelly and inhumanely under a professional dog trainer again.

Our most sincere thanks for taking the time to hear this story. Like Kristina, we will not rest until #Justice4Evie is served.
