We all know what a kind, compassionate, and driven soul our dear Sully is. If you know his story, you're sure to be continuously impressed by his will to succeed, to push through, to always remain humble and grateful for life's blessings no matter how small, while always having the ability to see beauty and light when near impossible for most. We are so proud of him for the incredible feats he has accomplished, specifically devoting all of his time and his savings this past year to his dream of becoming a fireman, wanting to be a hero since early childhood.
If you don't know his life story, his past... a narrative that you would never guess upon meeting him, I'll give you a glimpse. Losing his father to suicide at age 13, his brother to a life of drugs and prison not long after, and his mother to non-Hotchkins Lymphoma at age 17, Sully has developed an incomprehensible spirit of strength, and has learned to make family out of the friends he makes along the way, down his very unique path. He had to learn independence and self-reliance in a way most youth are not forced to, yet he never closed off his heart but kept it open, sending and receiving love boundlessly to all beings, human, animal, and to great mother nature. His strength and willpower to not only survive, but to shine with love & light to reach success, is unlike anyone I've ever met and I am blessed to be his partner.
I am reaching out to you in regards to an incredibly unfortunate event which has just occured. Sully was wrongfully prosecuted by police leaving a magical music festival in Ogden, as a sting operation ensued that profiled attendees, which resulted in wrongful and unjust action. An officer decreed Sully impaired to drive and arrested him, despite clear sobreity, cooperating and blowing far below the legal limit, and then forced to do a field test repeatedly, where the officer insisted he failed, with no explanation as he performed each act perfectly to the book.
There was no probable cause, and a clear example of abuse of police power and word. With all that Sully has accomplished, 4 fire certifications and EMT education later, we are fighting this injustice 'till the death, but it will be very expensive. We are beginning the process immediately, and lawyer fees will begin at $5,000 and with court fees included, we are looking at nearly $7,000, and with more than $6,000 in savings having gone into Sully's fire academy, pre-req. courses, and EMT school, we need all the help we can get to fight this wrongdoing. We all know the responsible, honest, and forthright man Sully is, and this is truly a wrong we must fight to turn right, for his future.
We need your help, and immensely appreciate any contribution you can make.
Thank you so much.
