My name is Michelle Wighton and I am Cassius's oldest 1st Cousin..On behalf of Aunty Mechelle, Jay & Troy and The Wilson & Turvey Families we have been approached by so many people on how they can support our families at this time.

Your support will go towards extra funeral expenses and the fight for justice for Cassius.

On the 13th of October 2022, our dear 15 year old Cassius Turvey was viciously attacked with a metal pole by men who were unknown to him. They presumed he was the person responsible for breaking windows in the neighbourhood. The men were aware Cassius was underage, as he was wearing his school uniform.

Cassius was immediately transported to Midland St John of God Hospital with laceration to the ear and forehead. A MRI and CT scan discovered there were two bleeds on the brain and he was then transported to Perth children's Hospital where he stayed for 5 days.

Hours after being discharged an Ambulance was called due to him having a seizure.

On arrival to the hospital he was placed into a medically induced coma followed by a craniectomy to release the pressure from the swelling on the brain.

Another scan on the brain showed he had a massive bleed which caused a stroke on both lobes of the brain.

Sadly Cassius Charles Turvey, a very loved young man in our community passed away at 5:10pm on Sunday 23rd October surrounded by his loved ones. It is a very tough time for his family, as we only burried his father one month ago from losing his battle from cancer.

We are seeking funds to cover his funeral, legal costs for criminal compensation and justice.
