Kendra Hatcher, a 35-year-old children's dentist in Dallas, was tragically killed in her parking garage on Wednesday, September 2.
I am a family friend, specifically through Kendra's oldest sister, and was asked to help the family start this site. The immediate outpouring of love upon the news of Kendra's death was overwhelming, and the family needed help setting up a fund in their moment of intense shock and grief. Because Kendra's family and friends are spread out among many states, this site centralizes the support to make it simpler on the family.
Kendra's family has set up a separate bank account, Kendra Hatcher Memorial Fund at UCB Bank in Springfield, IL, for all the GoFundMe monies and also for checks sent to the Illinois PO Box.
The family's first priority for these funds is to cover Kendra's funeral and burial costs, as well as to purchase a nice headstone. Second, the family will use the funds to finalize all of Kendra's personal affairs and possible legal expenses. Lastly, any remaining funds will be donated to Kendra's favorite causes. This most likely will entail dental care for those in need.
