Justice Through Portrait Art

Hello, my Beautiful friends!! Thank you so much for your time and consideration here!
My name is Erick Cruz, and I am a graphite portrait artist in Houston, TX. I started doing my sketches professionally in August 2018, when an array of circumstances put me out of work. By God's Grace, I have drawn and sold over 60 commissioned portraits in the past five month period. It has been a slow and rough start, as is with any business, and I've been keeping up the best I could with living expenses. But more so, it has been an extreme honor to create these tributes for families of members who are cherished and missed. And through all my networking over this short stint, I get closer to the dream of putting my portraits/memorials/tributes/heirlooms in as many Houston homes as possible.
However, a new Calling has glaringly presented itself to me and I feel like my talents could actually even be used for the Good of society. Forensic art, or police sketching, is an astounding way to connect with victims of crimes and create portraits of their offenders. Surely an invaluable talent and tool in criminal justice, and something that I'm confident I would be very inclined to do. When the idea was presented to me, I realized it would be the most emotionally rewarding pursuit for my skill set.
But whats MORE interesting?! Here in my hometown, Houston, resides THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD HOLDER for most arrests from her sketches!! Miss Lois Gibson is a legend in her field, and is actually teaching a course on Forensic Art starting at the end of February 2019! The opportunity to take this class at this juncture in my life is nothing short of serendipitous, especially since it may be the last time Miss Gibson teaches it herself. It gives me the great vision of learning from the ABSOLUTE BEST and carrying the torch running!
I'm starting this campaign to secure tuition for this class which is coming up for February 25, 2019. I'll need to secure my spot by the beginning of February as the class is filling up, and I'm pleaaading for you guys support! This is the only way I can imagine coming up with the funds in such a short amount of time, so in exchange for your donations, this campaign will have to double as a flash sale!!! I will offer my portraits to you, the varying level donors, to be completed lovingly and tirelessly over the upcoming weeks.
$50 - 4x6 original portrait framed (1 face only)
$100 - (2) 4x6 original portrait framed (1 face each)
$200 - 8x10 original portrait framed (group shot/collage)

Please rally behind my goal to learn from the world renown forensic artist, Lois Gibson, and help me in my quest to become a strong credit to justice in Houston. In the meantime, I will be drawing Beautiful tributes to your own families in return. Thank you so much and God Bless!!
