Justin Boyd, Husband, Father, Friend
Donation protected
On Monday, November 22nd, Brendan, Liam, and Connor Boyd lost their father. Barbara lost her husband. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service lost a beloved coworker, mentor, and friend. And the United States of America lost a patriot, goodwill ambassador, and faithful guardian. At the age of 49, Special Agent Justin Boyd, quoter of The Princess Bride, proud Star Trek fan, and Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast breathed his last. He served his country selflessly in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the United States Secret Service, and NCIS - including three deployments to Iraq and two tours aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.
He left behind scores of bereaved family members and friends who recall his belly laugh, his enthusiasm for the world around him, and most of all, his love of the people he met along the journey. Everyone who met him has a story of Justin going out of his way to perform an act of kindness. Everyone who worked with him has a story about his good nature and keen mind. He visited 61 countries in his lifetime of service. And at the top of his mind on each trip - his boys and Barbara. Justin was just a few months away from retirement when his body unexpectedly gave out. We don't yet know if he will be credited with the full 20 years of service which would provide Barbara with his full government pension benefits. Justin thought of others throughout his life. Please keep his family in your thoughts and, if you can, help his family plan for a secure future.
This Gofundme page was established by Justin's NCIS coworkers with Barbara's agreement. Barbara will be the recipient of all funds donated which will help cover their overseas expenses and provide a plan for the future of Brendan, Liam, and Connor.
