Justin Brady (Mallacoota) bushfire appeal

Justin Brady, Australian musician and Mallacoota identity lost his house on Karbeethong Hill in Mallacoota in the fires that swept through the town on 31 December 2019.

For now, he is staying with my parents, Yolande and Graham Oakley, whose Karbeethong Hill house was saved.

Justin needs funds and/or assistance to rebuild his house.  All funds raised will go directly to Justin so he can rebuild his home.

The cover photo shows Justin keeping my nephews in good spirits with a mandolin lesson beside the lake the day before the fire reached Mallacoota.  He is shown with his canoe in the background in which he sheltered as the fire frontapproached and burnt his house down.

Justin remained in Mallacoota during the evacuation and helped my parents defend their house during the dangerous fire conditions on Saturday.
