Justin Carpenters Go Fund Me

Hi I’m Justin Carpenter and I love to ski!  I grew up in the ski community of Park City.   My grandfather, Otto Carpenter, started Snow Park, the first ski resort in the area.  He passed down enthusiam and spirit for the sport.  All this has contributed to my lifelong passion for skiing.   I competed in my first Big Mountain competition at Snowbird when I was 13 and have been hooked ever since.  Combining my racing and freestyle skills along with my love for skiing, I joined the Altabird team where I competed for the past 4 seasons.  I have placed in the top five at the majority of my competitions, regionally, nationally an internationally.  I’m qualified for a third and final time at the Freeride Junior World  Championships, where I placed 5th last year, being held at Grandvalira in Andorra this coming February.In order to participate, travel and gain further experience in competing internationally and to take my skiing as far as I can, I could really use your help.
I’m using this "Go Fund Me Campaign" to raise money to attend the Freeride Junior World Championships in February, as well as national and regional competitions in my final year on the junior tour.  Your contribution will go to all the practical things - like travel costs and my competition fees.   With your help, I am hoping I will be able to experience more of the worldwide ski community, broaden my cultural horizons and continue pursuing my passion for skiing.  
Unlike in years in past, I’m competing as an independent athlete, which means your support is even more valuable to me as I embark on this new challenge.
