Justin "Cody" Alvarez Memorial Fund

Hello Friends and Family,
It is with my deepest regret that I inform you of a tragedy in my family. My dearest cousin Justin Alvarez, better known as Cody, fell victim to an awful cancer called Lymphoma.

Cody was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia back in July of 2016, and battled this cancer for 4 months until he hit remission in November of 2016.

Just recently, Cody became ill again, only to find that he now had Lymphoma, cancer that affects cells of the immune system. He began chemotherapy at UCSF in hopes that he could eventually hit remission again.

Cody fought this awful disease with all his might. Wednesday morning, April 19th, Cody became an angel. We are at peace knowing that he is free of pain, and in our Grandma Concha's company.

Cody was only 19 years old, yet so full of love and compassion. We love him dearly, and can't even begin to explain how much we will miss him.

If I can ask you to please send prayers our way during this difficult time, it would be so immensely appreciated. And if there is any way you can contribute for funeral and medical expenses, we couldn't be more grateful. All contributions will go to my Aunt Maggie, Cody's mom.

Thank you for your love and support,
Olivia
