Celebrating the Life of Justin Hood
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, and friend Justin Hood.
Justin passed on December 25, 2023, leaving a legacy of family, friendship, art and love.
Justin took pride in his hometown and was a beacon of hope and inspiration in our community. He dedicated his life to creating art and making space for others to express themselves through various art forms. As a musician and artist, Justin inspired his community through his performances and art installations.
Justin was one of the original pioneers behind the creation of Warehouse 508, a non-profit venue that invests in Albuquerque’s youth by providing a place to learn and develop skills under mentorship within the creative arts. He channeled his talents and expertise into a career in the creative field working at global advertising agencies in New York and Los Angeles. During his time living in those cities, Justin worked on a path of recovery and finding peace within his journey.
Above all, Justin was an incredible father to his daughter Miranda and an amazing son, brother, and friend who had a heart of gold.
Details of the funeral service will be shared soon, as we plan a ceremony that commemorates his life and reflects on his impact on the community and all of those who knew him.
We are setting up a fundraiser to help reduce the burden of his funeral expenses and to create ways to carry on his legacy. Every donation, regardless of size, will be greatly appreciated and directly contribute to giving Justin the farewell he deserves.
We sincerely thank you for any support you can provide. Justin’s life was a beautiful inspiration of how one person’s passion and kindness can radiate through a community.
If you have any photos or videos you’d love to share for the service, please upload them to this Google Drive folder.
