Help support Justin in his cancer battle!

For those that have never met Justin...you will not meet a more kinder soul. He has two younger brothers that adore him and have always said...Justin is the nicest person ever! His wife Gosia has been his rock, his support and she has just been amazing at how attentive she has been to whatever he needs, Justin adopted his now 6 year old daugher Serena when she was 2 and she has been the light of his eye and is loving fatherhood to put it mildly. His in-laws think he is pretty awesome too! All these people love and adore Justin more than anything and we are not done fighting along side him.

His updated story:
Justin was diagnosed with squamas cell carcinoma of the tongue in Aug/Sept 2023. Never smoked, doesn't drink or does anything unhealthy to his body. It just happened. No explanation. He had half of his tongue removed and had a new one constructed from his thigh muscle. He had cancerous lymph nodes removed from his neck and he was in the clear. Had radiation and chemo up until November and has been trying to heal from that experience. It has been a rough recovery road for him to put it mildy.

One month ago, he had pain return that felt the same as when he was first diagnosed that set off alarms as to what is going on. He also hasn't been able to open his mouth which at first we all thought maybe it was the tightening of muscles, inflammation and just part of the healing process. Doctors did scans and found a lesion in his jaw in the joint area responsible for opening and closing your mouth. Biopsy was done and came back squamas cell carcinoma of the mandible. Good news is that it is contained to that area only and not spread anywhere else. Rougher news is my son has another road of treatment and healing to go. Surgery is not an option right now as the tumor has no defined borders which means the edges of the tumor are blurred and doctors don't have a definite visual of where the edge of the tumor is they don't want to do a surgery knowing they will leave something behind and not get it all and this type of surgery is no walk in the park and if they had to go in again to get any left overs, it begins to impact the use of his jaw. There treatment plan now is the better option to help him maintain a normal jaw function.

They will treat him with immunotherapy which is activitating a sleeping immune system or stimulating it to recognize cancer cells and destroy them. This will shrink it and once it is shrunken down to where he can move his jaw again, then they will continue the therapy to maintain that shrunken tumor to prevent growth and to prevent new growth. We are feeling hopeful that this will work!!

All this therapy is super expensive and his insurance has been amazing but it doesn't cover everything. Justin still can't work and his disability is ending in April. In hopes of keeping his mind off finances and not worrying, I am here again pleading for any help anyone can give. Every cent has always been so appreciative and made a HUGE difference the first time around. Any monies collected will go towards medical bills, groceries and bills to help them stay afloat while going through this.

Thank you for all of your continued support, reaching out with kind words and anything else that you have done to help my son in the past. We all thank you. Justin is pretty great so we will do eveyrthing we can to get him through this again!
