FRIENDS OF JUSTIN:
When I set up this account, I truly had no idea what I was doing, what to expect, etc. Everyone has been so wonderful and helpful. I am raising the goal in hopes of helping Justin even further. He is waiting on path reports from two hospitals, Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson, then will meet with his doctors and determine what is next. He really needs any and all help anyone can give him. I just want to thank everyone who has contacted me about Justin - I have a list that I will share with him when I see him later this week. Feel free to keep contacting me - I love hearing all of the stories of how Justin has impacted your lives. He certainly has impacted mine.
Hey friends and Rebel Fans. Justin Reed who was all SEC for four years at Ole Miss and helped the Rebels to the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament needs our prayers and help.
Justin is fighting angiosarcoma of the spine, a rare cancer. He starting having pains, went in for tests and it was discovered. As Justin told me, "He is in for the fight of his life". And, that is what Justin is - a fighter.
Justin and his family need our help. He is unable to work, yet has the same expenses while he is not working that he did before such as housing, utilities, food, etc. He also has children to take care of. He will also need help with getting to and from the doctor, to and from treatments. etc. Right now the decision has not definitely been made but it looks like he will be going to MD Anderson in Houston for the best care available.
Justin has had one surgery this week and will have to have another as soon as he can gain some strength from this one. He is in a lot of pain and fighting through that.
If you look at Justin's facebook page, you will be amazed at what all he does for children. He is running weekend camps and two day camps to help kids with basketball skills. I listened to one of his videos - it all ends with believing in yourself but putting God first.
Please help us to help Justin. He gave his all for us - let's give our all for him. Thanks for whatever you can do and please keep Justin and his family in your prayers.
