Justin Reid is READY! New album & the next level

Justin Reid is a powerful writer, singer and guitarist from Greensboro, NC. His genre is "soul-folk," capturing traditional storyteller elements while bringing in gospel vocal embellishments and dynamic rhythmic guitar. Calling up comparisons to John Legend, Sam Cooke, and John Mayer, he leans into these influences and more during his live performances. His songs of heartache and hope, alongside signature guitar rhythms and chords, make for his own "singer-songwriter meets R&B" style.

He is currently working on a brand new album of originals, joined by some of the talented musicians from his own family. This transformative record will be something special with a more full sound and will continue his collaboration with producer Tom Troyer (Black Rabbit Audio ) who also engineered his first EP “Take One ”

Here’s Justin in his own words about his passion, art, career, and what's coming next...

"I love playing music because it allows me to just put whatever part of myself out on display. When I am performing and I can tell the audience is listening or even captivated I have the chance to let everyone know who I am, what I believe and why I believe it, and sometimes even sharing what's hurt me before and how the healing is progressing. There are few aspects of life that facilitate that type of openness but I would say playing music is the best way to do just that.”

"I started playing music in my home town of Greensboro NC. Partly because what better place the start than in your own backyard? But also the welcoming environment Greensboro provides for talent is fantastic. I can say confidently that now I'm at the point in my career where I want to take what home has taught me and show it off in more places.”

"Though it is common to see me on stage solo I am not limited to just a voice and a guitar! My twin brother is honestly one of the best drummers out of Greensboro. My piano playing cousin is an amazing singer and talented songwriter and my sister who is a big inspiration for me could steal any show which I'd be fine with as long as I have a front row seat. One of my biggest goals is to showcase Greensboro talent so chances are the musicians that I plan to take on the road during tour are homegrown talent.”

This is an ambitious crowdfunding goal and there are many tasks ahead to help get Justin and his songs out there to be seen and heard.
