Justin’s Battle with Cystic Fibrosis
Donation protected
Our younger cousin has been battling Cystic Fibrosis his whole life. This summer, his parents Bill and Shelly Haight, began the process of getting Justin on the lung transplant list. Earlier this month, on the night of his 21st birthday celebration dinner with his amazing family he struggled with every breath. He told them they all needed to skip dinner and take him straight to the hospital. Justin was admitted and transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He is on the top of the lung transplant list. We gathered and even placed bets on when Justin’s new lungs would arrive. Things have taken a turn for the worse this last week and Justin’s kidney is acting up, which has placed him on an internal hold for the lung transplants. He is fighting with every breath. His parents, and brother have been making the trips back and forth to NYC to be there for him, and also continue working to keep the income coming in. They found a hotel close to the hospital with a shuttle, and have been spending as much time as possible with Justin. We want to help ease the financial burden on them, and allow them this time as a family. We need to keep Justin strong and fighting for his kidney to improve to get him back active on the transplant list. If you can help by donating any amount, we really appreciate it. Thank you for reading and please keep Justin and the Haight Family in your thoughts and prayers.
