Justin's Drum & Bugle Corps

This is Justin. If you don't know, Justin has been an unofficial part of our family for almost 4 years now. He is an outstanding young man who has overcome a significant amount of adversity in his life. In spite of the challenges he has faced, he is one of the most driven, responsible, polite and above all, musically gifted young men I have ever met. With all of these qualities, it is no surprise that he has been given an incredible opportunity. Justin has been invited to be a part of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps for the summer 2017 tour. This is a huge honor and a testament to how talented he is. This will give him an otherwise impossible chance to travel the country performing with a world class group of musicians. In addition to being a great life experience, his participation in this program would be a major advantage when it comes time to seek financial assistance in the form of music-based scholarships for his college attendance.

Unfortunately, this opportunity is certainly not free and quite frankly isn't cheap. Between the cost of participation, the travel to and from required camps in both Florida and Indianapolis as well as day to day expenses, the estimated costs are approx. $5500.00. 

Leigh and I have supported Justin's musical journey with both finances and time for the last 4 years because we see how much potential he has and we see it as a pathway for him attend college, however this amount is currently out of our reach so we are reaching out for any support that you are willing to offer. Unfortunately a decision needs to be made very soon so we are stepping out in faith and hoping that people are willing to donate. 

We consider Justin to be just as much a member of our family as our own children and just like with our own children it's heartbreaking when you feel like you are not able to do everything possible to help them take advantage of every opportunity to reach their full potential. We hope that some of you will be just as motivated as Leigh and I are to help someone rise above their circumstances and be the best that they can be.
