University Tuition fee

Hi there, my name is Mookete, and I'm a 17-year-old student with big dreams. I made a
significant move from South Africa to England during Year 11, which was a massive
change for me. Imagine adjusting to a whole new environment, making new friends, and
navigating a different culture – it was quite the journey.
I'm described as kind, caring, and hardworking, with a clear vision of what I want in life. My older sister is my guardian, and I rely on her support for everything. She's been my rock through thick and thin, but lately, we've been facing some financial challenges.
Despite my dedication and hard work, when it came time to apply for university, I encountered some obstacles. Due to my immigration status, some universities didn't accept me for the Mental Health Nursing course I'm passionate about. It was disheartening, to say the least.
However, there's a glimmer of hope. Oxford Brookes University has offered me a spot in their Mental Health Nursing program. The catch? Since I'm considered an international student, don’t qualify for student finance. I have to pay extra tuition fees ,plus, there's a £3000 deposit due by June that I simply can't afford.
My passion for mental health is what drives me. I've always wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and becoming a mental health nurse is my way of doing that. But without financial support, this dream might slip away.
That's why I've started this fundraiser. By contributing, you'd be investing in not just my future, but in the future of mental health care. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring me closer to achieving my goal and making a positive impact in the world. Thank you for considering supporting me on this journey.
Together, we can make a difference
