Forced to move

Hello, the picture above is my mom and I. My name is Michelle and my Mom’s name is Joann. We have seen some tough times through the years but have always managed to make it. The last 2 years have been extremely tough. Mom has diabetes pretty bad and she has neuropathy in both legs and walking is difficult for her. She just got out of a stay at a rehab after a fall. I have been helping her as best as I can. She receives Social Security Disability Benefits and I am a Customer Service Representative and floral designer (when I can) for a small company where we live. April/May 2021 I was hospitalized with Covid pneumonia and respiratory failure. By the grace of God I made it through. I have complications from an underlying condition but I’m doing ok but can no longer stand long periods of time so my love of floral design has halted some. Just a few days ago we were informed that our apartment complex is not renewing anyone’s lease. Our lease ends in January. With rent prices the way they are, we are unable to find the means to move as fast as we need to. There isn’t a way to earn more money. Mom is on a fixed income on disability and I’m doing the best I can trying to work but I’ve been left with lung scarring which makes it difficult. We would definitely not have made it this far if I went on disability as well. It would make the struggle worse because it pays so little. I’m better off working but I’m not able to work as much as I used to. Our apartment complex is old and not up to code. So they are not renewing anyone’s lease. Our ceiling has leaks, is falling down in the bathroom and has so much other damage that was just from age, the building is very old. We hope that we can find the funds to move into somewhere. But many places want so much money upfront and we don’t have much time. Not the time we need to earn enough money to move. I’ve never asked for help in this way but any would be appreciated. We would be so grateful. We thank anyone who does donate, you are an angel.
