Support for Elaine Smith

As many of you know, my parent’s home in Port St. Joe, Florida stood directly in the path of Hurricane Michael a couple of weeks ago. More than six feet of storm surge and near-155 mph winds destroyed everything in their home, rendered the house uninhabitable and decimated the neighborhood and community. They are both safe now, having weathered the storm together in the veteran’s nursing home where my Father is a resident. Mom’s life, in particular, is upended; but she is grateful for all that she has and is slowly moving toward recovery.

If you know Elaine Smith, you know her heart is big and her generosity is ceaseless. She would never ask for help; but on her behalf I’m taking up a collection to help her with basic living, transition and recovery expenses. Family members and friends are pitching in (thank you!). Give if you have the means. If you can’t right now, no worries. Keep my Mom and Pops in your thoughts. And, If you have already donated to my sister’s campaign, thank you again. ❤️
