Donation protected
Our dear friend, Lauren Kosmatka Camarata, recently lost her husband, SSG Vincent J. Camarata, unexpectedly. SSG Camarata was a loving husband, father, and active duty serviceman of the United States Army. He passed away on October 19, 2023, leaving behind Lauren and their three young boys: Trenton age 7, Cooper age 4, and Rowan age 2. Lauren is now faced with the daunting task of raising their three young boys on her own. She is grieving the loss of her husband, while also trying to navigate the financial implications of his passing.
Vincent has loved Lauren since they were children. He was so delighted to have her as his bride over 11 years ago! As per their life plan, he joined the Army in 2012. Since then, he and Lauren moved to his different stations across the country several times, in between his multiple deployments across the world.
Vincent’s drive to excel resulted in a variety of personal and professional accomplishments. He had a great love of animals. They had recently adopted the family’s third dog, Philly, whom he adored. His lifelong love of baseball was something that he so looked forward to sharing with his sons. We grieve for this and so many other lost opportunities as we look at a future without him.
We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to help Lauren and her boys during this difficult time. Any amount donated will help Lauren cover the costs of funeral expenses as well as other living and child care expenses.
Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
If donors prefer a different option, Lauren and Vincent strongly supported Mission 22, a charity that assists all veterans and their families. Your donation to that charity would mean a lot to them.
