Matt's Fight

My name is Nicole Hollan, Matthew Hollan's cousin. Matt bravely battled cancer, a very rare form of cancer, Nut 1 Carcinoma. This cancer was 1 in a million, and unfortunately he was diagnosed with it this time last year, and sadly his battle came to an end January 14, 2016. Matt fought like hell. He was going back and forth to Philly to get treatment and medication. Sometimes even staying for a week. His parents, Liz andRob, brothers, Ryan and Connor, and sister, Jessica would all take turns traveling back and forth to Philly to be with Matt. The expenses got extremly high, from staying in hotels, traveling from Piscataway to Philly multiple times a week, and paying for taxis while in Philly. All his medications were trial and error. Some of his medications weren't even covered by insurance and my Aunt and Uncle had to come out of pocket. During all this time, his parents, 2 brothers, and sister had to take leaves from work. Some of it payed other times not payed. Funds got extremly low, and at times it was hard to make ends meet, but during all this Matt always kept a positive attitude and kept fighting like hell! I'm asking if you could please help my family out during this heart breaking time. Any little bit will help my Aunt and Uncle with paying back bills, offsetting outstanding medical bills, and will help with the funeral cost. My family and I cannot express how thankful we are to have so many people behind us. Thank you everyone so much for your time and help. Matt will never, ever be forgotten
