Helping a Single Mother

Hello, compassionate souls, I am reaching out to the universe to help our friend. We have know Melissa for years, and we watched her grow into an amazing mama who is raising amazing humans.

Meet Melissa, a devoted mother who is facing the toughest battle of her life. Melissa is a resilient mother to two beautiful children, aged 4 and 5. However, her journey as a parent has been fraught with challenges. Both of her children suffer from PTSD due to some traumatic events in their lives, which requires both children to undergo therapy and counseling.

Melissa’s life took a drastic turn when she found herself entangled in a complex legal battle while fighting the father of her children in court. He has money and deep pockets, and is purposely manipulating the system to his advantage. To stay in this fight and to become the soul decision maker for her children, she has no other choice but to take him to court. To date, she has exhausted all of her finances, maxed out her credit cards and drained her entire savings, while trying to fight for her kids. Faced with mounting legal bills, she's been struggling to make ends meet. Every penny she earns goes towards providing a safe and nurturing environment for her little ones.

Despite her unwavering determination, Melissa’s financial situation has reached a critical point. With March looming ahead, the fear of homelessness is creeping in. If she can't pay her rent, she and her precious children will have nowhere to go, and the father will use this to take custody of the children, which is not an ideal environment for the kids. While she wants to find full time work, it is virtually impossible given the counseling appointments for the kids, appointments with the guardian ad litem and court appearances, she is doing anything and everything to make it work. Her goal is to get through the summer, and become a para-educator in the Bremerton School District.
