Honoring John: Support His Family's Journey
Donation protected
John A. Camera passed away peacefully after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family. A devoted father of six, a loving husband, a caring brother and son, and an amazing friend to all, he will be greatly missed. His driving desire was always to take care of others. His ultimate joy was his children. A culinary wizard who loved to whip up delicious meals while cracking jokes that kept everyone laughing. His specialty was homemade pizzas and fries, always prepared with a smile and a glass of wine in hand. A social butterfly, he could often be found chatting away on the phone, spreading his infectious cheer. He took great pride in being the Administrator for both the Borough of Seaside Heights and Berkeley Township, as well as his volunteer work as Board of Education President for Colts Neck Township Schools, largely because of the wonderful people he got to interact with. Never missing a beat, he attended every one of his kids' sporting events, cheering louder than anyone in the stands. He was the heart and soul of the Colts Kids First movement, always putting the children's needs first and rallying the community with his boundless enthusiasm and genuine love for making a difference. The lives he impacted will never forget his kindness and joy for life.
As one of John's closest friends, I'm putting together this page for his wife Phyllis and their four wonderful children: Jocelynn, Julianna, Jaydon, and Jonas. John and his family have contributed so much to our community, and now it's our turn to give back. My heart aches for their loss, and I'm eager to support them in any way possible. Please consider making a donation—consider helping alleviate financial burdens during their time of grief and support in navigating the difficult transition after the loss of a husband and father.
John was special, one of the kindest souls, and the countless hearts he touched will forever remember his boundless energy and love.
