Need Lodging For Cleveland Clinic
Donation protected
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my "gofundme" page. My name is Michael Wells and I am going to the Cleveland Clinic on January 26th thru January 29th for scheduled appointments to address severe neurological disorders that I have had for the past two and a half years. My stay could be longer if more testing is required.
I am a Veteran of the US Army who has not been able to get my severe disability to be "service connected", which I hope to do during my stay at the Cleveland Clinic or at least have a better understanding of what is causing my condition.
Starting in the Spring of 2012 I started experiencing weird and severe neurological problems. I suffer from seizures, cluster migraines, severe muscle pain and muslce pain attacks, severe memory loss and cognitive disorder, loss of balance and coordination and chronic fatigue. The Neurologists at the Univeristy of Kentucky Hospital believe that it is CTE, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, which is an ongoing neurological condition caused by severe head trauma. However they are ill equipped to deal with a disease like this.
Since this diagnosis it has become known to me thru friends that work with Veteran's that this could have been caused by the vaccinations that I recieved during the run-up to the first Gulf War. I am hoping to solve this puzzle and if that is the case to get this "service connected" so the VA will have to rate me and to see me.
My wife's private health insurance is covering part of the costs for the Cleveland Clinic, but we cannot afford Room and Board for almost a week, plus gas and whatever expenses we might inccur at a later date thru insurance.
Any help that you could send my way would be greatly appreciated.
