Funeral expenses and medical cost

Hello our names are Tina Harrington and Mandi Krueger, we are the sister and daughter to Stacey Gunter.

Our beloved Jeff Gunter recently passed on February 28, 2023. Jeff was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his wife, Stacey, a sister, four children, 5 bonus children and many grandbabies.

Jeff dedicated his life to his Family, Friend, and community. His favorite pass time was spending time with his family and friends. He carried his heart on his sleeve and always strived to be a role model for the younger generations. Jeff set an excellent example for his kids and grandchildren to follow and enjoyed taking care of his community. Although he served as a Firefighter/medic, played Santa, and participated in many charity motorcycle rides, he always wanted to strive to be the best man he could be.

Sadly, Jeff was diagnosed more than a year ago with MoyaMoya, a rare brain disease that led to him having multiple seizures and strokes and two brain surgeries. Due to the severity of this rare disease, Jeff nor Stacy could work. They had to rely solely on Jeff’s disability checks. Stacey had to stop working to provide him with 24/7 care and take Jeff regularly from their home in South Carolina to Duke Medical Center in North Carolina for checkups, tests, and procedures.

Jeff’s passing was sudden and unexpected, even with his medical issues. His untimely passing has put a substantial financial burden on his wife as they were unprepared for the high funeral services costs. In addition, Jeff was unable to secure life insurance due to his diagnosis.

I am asking for donations to help cover the cost of Jeff’s funeral and final medical bills. Also, seeking funds to help Stacey with bills and other financial expenses as she prepares for her life without Jeff and can find employment. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
