Support the Harris Family
Donation protected
We created this Go Fund Me page to help a wonderful, caring, and loving family in need of support.
Adele, Wayne and 17 year old daughter Kaeli Harris recently lost their youngest daughter and little sister Lily, due to complications related to her severe cerebral palsy. The Harris family devoted themselves 100% to Lily’s health and happiness for her precious 13 years of life. Unfortunately, Lily’s significant medical needs—particularly in recent years—resulted in significant financial hardship.
Adele has been unable to work due to Lily’s 24-hour care needs, meaning a single-income family has been dealing with extensive medical bills and massive debt related to frequent doctor appointments and lengthy hospitalizations, and raising a teenager very active as a High School Cheerleader Captain, and in Chemistry Club.
The Harris family learned, upon Lily’s passing, that the funeral expenses are all out of pocket, something they have no money to cover. This had made a difficult situation more stressful.
The Harris family are not people that ask for help. They are the first ones there when others need help!
The financial situation has been very difficult. They have been unable to replace essential household items, such as the furnace that stopped working 2 months ago, and the kitchen stove that went out 3 months ago. Adele uses a neighbor's stove to prepare the family meals and brings them back home, each night. Their kitchen cupboards starting falling apart and were removed 3 years ago for safety reasons, and have not been able to be replaced. The family's minivan used as the 2nd family vehicle, and to transport Lily, broke down over a year-and-a-half ago, and has not been able to be used or repaired since, resulting in them relying on friends to help with transportation. Most of their immediate family is all out of state.
A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated for a family that has given so much. More:
