Our Box Truck Broke Down...AGAIN!

Hugs & Hope believes everyone needs a bit of help at some point in their lives and are committed to being there when they do. Hugs & Hope is a 501(c)3, non-profit, no-appointment necessary, everyone-welcome, drive-through food pantry in Snellville GA that provides free food and essential items to over 400 families (that’s 1500+ people!) every single week. Our families are extremely diverse and come to Hugs & Hope Community Table from multiple counties throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan area. We strongly believe in spreading much needed joy and hope while helping everyone indiscriminately! Since the pandemic, the number of people we serve have increased from 80 families a week to over 400 families each and every week! Many of the precious families who come to the mobile drive-through every week often get double or triple the food to give to neighbors and homeless people in their communities, further spreading the love.

 

We are HUGELY dependent on the food pickups we do every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from various stores, and our box truck is the only way we can do this. For a long time now, our box truck has been having major issues and breaking down, leaving our drivers and volunteers stranded outside of stores for hours or stuck in the pantry's parking lot. We URGENTLY need a safe and functioning box truck.
