In support of Haonan Chen and his family

With profound sorrow, we share the devastating news of the recent tragedy that affected the Chen family. While Haonan was changing a tire at the side of a highway, his vehicle was struck by an erratic driver who swerved off the road. Haonan himself did not suffer serious physical harm. Tragically, his wife and father died in the accident. His 3-year-old son is hospitalized and needs to undergo several surgeries. The tragic accident has left his son and 6-week-old daughter to grow up without the loving care of their mother.

In honor of Haonan’s beloved wife and father, and to express our support for his family during this incredibly difficult time, friends from the Chinese-American Oceanic and Atmospheric Association Colorado Chapter (COAA-CC), in partnership with friends from the CSU Electrical & Computer Engineering Department (CSU/ECE) and other volunteers, have launched this GoFundMe campaign. We invite all of Haonan's friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to join hands and contribute to this fund, which will be dedicated to providing the necessary financial assistance for honoring the cherished memories of Haonan’s wife and father.

We understand that no amount of monetary aid can ever replace the loss that Haonan and his family have endured. We hope that through this collective effort, we can lighten some of the immediate burdens and demonstrate our unwavering support and love for Haonan and his family.

The campaign goal has been set in accordance with the GoFundMe system's requirements; however, please be aware that this is an open-goal campaign, and any contribution, regardless of the amount, will make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated.
