Siamo Federico Secchi e Marco Majori, Guide Alpine valtellinesi ma soprattutto amici di lunga data e compagni di avventure ;)
Entrambi con un curriculum alpinistico composto da rinomate salite alpinistiche europee ed extra-europee, siamo riusciti a sciare nel 2021 il nostro primo ottomila, il Manaslu (8163m).
Per quest'anno abbiamo un nuovo grande sogno nel cassetto: la prima discesa italiana con gli sci dal K2 senza l'utilizzo dell’ossigeno supplementare nell’anno in cui ricorre il 70° anniversario della prima conquista assoluta della vetta del K2 da parte degli alpinisti italiani Achille Compagnoni e Lino Lacedelli.
La nostra spedizione partirà il 15 giugno 2024.
Il viaggio sarà interamente documentato con foto e riprese video dal nostro amico, collaboratore e videomaker Ettore Zorzini.
Il programma è il seguente: dopo l'arrivo in aereo a Islamabad, in una decina di giorni tra trasferimenti e trekking raggiungeremo il campo base del Broad Peak (4851m); qui inizierà il periodo di acclimatamento. In venti giorni circa cercheremo di scalare la montagna e, una volta raggiunta la vetta, di scendere la parete con gli sci.
Nei giorni successivi ci sposteremo al Campo Base del K2 (5008m). Prevediamo una salita più rapida in quanto saremo già acclimatati. Come per il Broad Peak, una volta raggiunta la cima, la discesa avverrà sci ai piedi.
Come molti di voi appassionati di alpinismo sicuramente sapranno, questo sogno per essere realizzato richiede un consistente budget per far fronte a spese di viaggio, visti, permessi per scalare le montagne pakistane ed assicurazioni.
La spedizione sarà parzialmente sostenuta da alcuni sponsor tecnici che ci forniranno parte dell'attrezzatura necessaria come sci, tende ecc, mentre per la parte "economica" (ossia visti, permessi, biglietti aerei ecc) siamo alla ricerca di fondi provenienti da amici, conoscenti, imprenditori... insomma chiunque condivide e crede nel nostro progetto!
Da Guide Alpine che praticano con passione il proprio lavoro, conosciamo bene quella sensazione di avventura, quel sorriso di soddisfazione e quelle lacrime di felicità che provano i nostri clienti quando raggiungono la vetta tanto sudata e sognata...ora siamo noi a chiedere a voi di sostenerci e supportarci nella realizzazione del nostro grande sogno :)
Il budget raccolto sarà investito interamente in questo progetto.

We are Federico Secchi and Marco Majori, Mountain Guides of Valtellina, but above all long-time friends and fellow adventurers ;)
Both with mountaineering resumes consisting of renowned European and non-European mountaineering ascents, we managed to ski our first eight-thousand-meter peak, Manaslu (8163m), in 2021.
For this year, we have a new big dream: the first Italian ski descent from K2 without the use of supplemental oxygen in the year that marks the 70th anniversary of the first ever conquest of the summit of K2 by Italian mountaineers Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli.
Our expedition will depart on June 15, 2024.
The trip will be fully documented with photos and video footage by our friend, collaborator and video maker Ettore Zorzini.
The program is as follows: after arriving by plane in Islamabad, in about ten days between transfers and trekking we will reach the base camp of Broad Peak (4851m); here the acclimatization period will begin. In about twenty days we will try to climb the mountain and, once we reach the summit, ski down the face.
In the following days we will move to K2 Base Camp (5008 m). We anticipate a faster ascent because we will already be acclimatized. As with Broad Peak, once we reach the summit, the descent will be on skis.
As many of you mountaineering enthusiasts know, this dream to be realized requires a substantial budget between travel expenses, visas, permits to climb the mountains of Pakistan.
The expedition will be partially supported by some technical sponsors who will provide us with the necessary equipment such as skis, tents, etc., while for the “economic” part (visas, permits, airline tickets, etc.) we are looking for funds from friends, acquaintances, entrepreneurs... anyone who shares and believes in our project!
As mountain guides who passionately practice their work, we know well that feeling of adventure, that smile of satisfaction, and those tears of happiness that our clients feel when they reach the summit they have long sweated and dreamed of... now we are the ones asking you to support us and support us in the realization of our great dream :)
The budget raised will be fully invested in this project.
