Niven’s Kidney Disease Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Niven. At 26, I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and been told that I need a kidney transplant.
It’s been hard to process but I now feel as though I have come to terms with the situation and understand this is just the beginning of a life long journey. With having seen my mum go through two kidney transplants, it has shown me both the challenges and hope that comes with CKD.
My diagnosis has inspired me to create a fundraiser to raise awareness about kidney disease, amplify the voices of those affected, and gather essential funds to support patients and families facing the same fight.
This journey is about more than my own story; it’s about uniting for a cause that affects millions, providing hope, and contributing to the resources that patients, researchers, and healthcare providers need.
Over the next year, I’ll be participating in a series of physical events and challenges to engage more people and spread awareness. This page will be the cornerstone for all donations, which will then be directed to organisations focused on kidney disease research, support programs, and patient advocacy.
Fitness has always been a significant part of my life, so my first challenge is taking on The London Marathon in April 2025. I’ll be running for Kidney Care UK, a charity that works tirelessly to improve kidney care, support those affected by kidney disease, and push for advances in treatment. Our goal is to raise £2,500, with every penny helping to bring better care, research, and hope to those who need it most.
If you’re able to support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, please know that your contribution makes a real impact. Thank you for joining me in this journey. Together, we can stand up for those facing kidney disease and bring meaningful change to the lives of many.
