Stephanie's Journey

Hi, my name is Terri; I am Stephanie Pelley's sister. Stephanie is an amazing mom, friend, sister and fiancee. She is the person who lifts us all up in our times of need and is always quick to help others in need. Unfortunately, Stephanie is the one we need to come together and lift up and help. Stephanie was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma. As devastating as this alone is, it is equally devastating financially. Mesothelioma is a specific type of Lung cancer requiring a particular oncologist. There are only 7 in the entire country. Luckily, we have one (the best) in Boston at Brigham and Women. This requires commuting back and forth from Stephanie's home in Concord, NH. At this point, we are in the early stages, and there are a lot of tests that she has to do to prepare for surgery to remove the tumor. Once she has the surgery, she will be hospitalized for at least 15 days, at which time her family will want to be close by and require housing (hotel).

Stephanie left work in April because of medical issues, and now her fiancee Mark is taking time off to get her to her appointments. This GoFundMe will help with her medical expenses, gas and hotel expenses and hopefully anything else that will make life more comfortable for her during this journey.
