My name is Lacey. I live in North Idaho, I am starting a fundraiser to help my very close friend Misty Larsen obtain money to use for legal fees and to help get her family back on their feet after her minor daughter was raped. The pedophile rape, coupled with Covid19 has led to a series of very unfortunate events. Here is the full story:
On July 21st 2019 my very close friend's 14 year old daughter was attacked and brutally raped by a stranger. She also found out that the pedophile rapist had been grooming her 16 year old niece and many other minor girls in the area. Charges were filed and there was a protection order established by the court. The pedophile was caught, charged and jailed until he met his bail. Afterward, he continued to stalk and harass the entire family even with a protective order in place (We know how well those work). Their local police department had failed to do anything to stop the harrassment. My friend had even begged the police to set up a watch so they could see how he followed the children around after school and threatened the victim and her friends on several occasions in hopes she would take back her statement and drop charges. In February 2020 the harassment became so bad that my friend and her husband left their home, jobs, and fled town to protect their daughter and two other children and make a fresh start.... They established their residency in another area with a nice home and descent jobs, and everything was finally begining to feel like normal again.... Enter Covid 19... they lost their new jobs and were unable to obtain employment due to the pandemic. The court hearing for the rapist was fast approaching, so they made a difficult decision to return to North Idaho and stay with a friend temporarily until the pedophile was charged and they could once again move on with their lives. Upon returning they found that the Supreme Court had canceled all jury trials. There is a new court date in October but the courts are planning another Supreme Court forced closure for covid's second wave. They could no longer stay in a friend's living room and have been camping and working all summer looking for a house only to be out-bid within minutes. They have lived in limbo, burnt through their savings and are without a home. They both work full-time and provide for their children, however due to Covid-19’s personally economic impact they now need financial assistance for legal fees, and so they can survive and get a home for their family. They have a pre approval to get one, but after decimating their finances we need to reach out to the community for help. Mind you the vicious harassment has continued and now her adult son who is married with his own children has been charged with a felony for supposedly punching this pedophile, to which there doesn’t seem to be any evidence. They're under fire because pedophilla is now ok and a sexual orientation??? Her family has been victimized by this pedophile and abused by the system. Please help. She has been a foster to many children, volunteered to help enrich our community and families within. She has helped me raise my own daughter since birth, and would never reach out unless she really needed it. They are patriots and would never ask if they could do it themselves, but without help from us, they stand alone....
