A tribute to Alex Hickman

Hi Everyone, I’m sure by now you will all be aware of the tragic loss of Alex Hickman and as a river community we would like to get together and give something back. There aren’t many people on the river who wouldn’t have had some assistance from Alex over the years, especially as part of their apprenticeship and so we would like to show some gratitude. Unfortunately due to the current situation, Alex will not get the send off he truly deserves at this time. We recently had a Waterman’s crest made out of flowers for a loss of another legend we recently lost, Eddie Jones. The amount this page has already generated has exceeded the cost of the crest however we have decided to keep the page running for everyone who would like to donate for Alex’s family. Understandably it has been a difficult year for all on the river this , so please do not feel that you have to donate but any donation Small or large would be greatly appreciated by the Hickman family. As a river community we come together when it matters the most. We hope this page will go a small way to showing Alex’s family just how much he was loved and appreciated and what a true irreplaceable legend, we have lost.
