Help Nyli Lay 22-Month-Old Son to Rest

I am creating this GoFundMe to help raise funds for my niece, Nyli, who recently suffered the very unexpected and tragic loss of Ezekiel, her 22-month-old son. Precious Ezekiel was deeply loved as a son, grandson, nephew, and cousin.

On March 9, 2024, Ezekiel’s life was cut short under circumstances that have left our family completely shattered and seeking answers. While in the care of a babysitter on March 5, 2024, he was found unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital. His mother, Nyli, and grandmother, Diana, were at work when they received the devastating call.

While at the hospital, doctors discovered a jaw defect, a laceration to his liver, and a severe brain injury causing several brain bleeds. These injuries ultimately led to his death on March 9, 2024, the day the hospital declared him brain dead.

Our family was thrust into this ongoing nightmare with no time to process or prepare and the financial burden has become immense. Medical bills, funeral costs, and lost wages are mounting, adding to our family’s grief and stress. Nyli desperately wants to be able to properly bury her son but is financially unable to do so. The pain and grief we are experiencing are beyond words.
